Whats your Exp with Epidural steroid injections?

Monday, September 12th, 2011

I got hit by a semi-truck back in December. Thanks to driving a Chevy avalanche; I walked away no broken bones, however I have horrible sciatica when ever im sit on anything soft.(which is almost everything) My Pain management doctor wants to do ESI and maybe even some micro surgery to relive pressure, remove debris.

Although I have tattoos all over my body, i have never enjoyed the thought of a needle entering my arachnoid space. Any one out their have any exp. with ESI….?

These are gonna be Low epidural steroid injections…like L5/S1. for constant sciatica..

I am also 26 years old, and I have already tried chiropractic care, massage therapy, physical therapy, and acupuncture…and still no relief…
I have also tried pain medication and being on pain medication is also not an option, since I am a medical professional and cannot be high (well it wouldnt be ethical) while at work.

Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, or Accupuncture would be best for my pain?

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

I have 3 herniated discs in my back. They bother me off and on, but they get unbearably painful during my period. I’ve been to the doctor, and my pain simply does not respond to pain meds– niether over-the-counter nor prescription. So, I want to try one of these: Chiropractor, Accupuncture, or Massage Therapy. Which would be best?

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I am looking to start a rehabilitation clinic that specializes in motor vehicle accident rehabilitation. It would include regular physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropactor and psychotherapy. If someone could please provide me with either the general steps involved or, more likely, a link to a site that could break down the particulars, I would appreciate it.

Do you need a license to do acupressure if you are a chiropractor?

Monday, August 30th, 2010

I am curious because I am considering become a Chiropractor, and right now I am learning acupressure. I wonder if you need a seperate license as a massage therapist? Or is it legal without a license because you are already licensed to use physical contact to treat people, and forcing you to get another license is redudant? Obviously, you would have to get a massage therapy education as well, but I am curious of the licensing aspect. Thanks for reading!
