Need a good masseuse or chiropractor in the Tooting area (London, UK) please.?

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

My girlfriend has issues with the muscles in her back, and whilst I give good massages, I’m not skilled enough to actually do more than a fleeting bit of relief.

She’s ideally looking for a good masseuse/chiropractor in the area to go to once a month to help with this.

Anyone able to recommend any?

My Back Hurts Should I See A Chiropractor?

Friday, March 18th, 2011

I’ve been to two doctors about my body pains, particularly my back.
It may be fybromyalga, and associated with stress/depression.
I was put on Cymbalta, but it just doesn’t relieve the chronic pain.
I’ve also had x-rays and there is no skeletal problems, it’s in the muscles.
Can a chiropractor help on non skeletal pain as well?

What all do you see a Chiropractor for?

I am having severe lower back pain and it will not stop. It feels like it is in the muscles in my lower back. Pain pills and muscle relaxers are barely helping. Do Chiropractors only work on the "bones" or what all do they do. I have had such horrible experiences with them in the past. I went for a very long time and it never helped but maye I had a bad one??? Any suggestions?

social security and other entitlement programs-what does he mean? I did it the right way. Got married, had kids, was a stay at home mom and we sacrificed for me to do so, went to college, became a psych. SW and worked for 6 yrs on the Adm Unit of a psych ward when a patient whacked me in the back several time mis-aligning 4 of the 7 vert. I had. I was advised by 3 Drs to sign up for disability-some were medical (we’ll fuse it together) and chiropractic-we can fix this but with the muscles and ligaments involved it will take a very long time. 7 yrs.(I did not sign up for disability) Then I got breast cancer and thank everyone there is a program that pays for everything. But, I have to stay on the program and SSI in case it returns. So what do I do,, I am 56, the world is going to heck and my husband wants me to go to work. If I do I lose the medical coverage and no med.coverage at a job will cover a pre-existing condition so I’d have to quit and do treatment, again. At the same time my husband became an over the road trucker. After 6 yrs another trucker side-swiped him and left the scene. Fast forward to today. He is on disability because no Dr will sign a DOT med. release. He has had 4 surgeries on his shoulder and 1 knee replacement for now. I guess my question is if I donate from my 0 a month I now receive and if every other SSI or SSDI recipient does the same, when will the 700 million dollar give away be paid off?? Thanks Be to God I sold my ‘new’ home in 1994 and bought one with cash. No mortgage. But, I do have a lien for my student loans-I’ve already asked Pres Elect Obama for amnesty so I can receive my stimulus package. Yup, they took that too. So, in what way is this presidency going to help us in this situation. Personally, I’m already feeling a little pressure where I sit.

Spinal Cord Stimulator Success anyone? Help Please!?

I’m having a trial scs in about 8 days. I ruptured a disc in my neck in 2002 and currently have pain in both shoulders at the top along with pain and spasms in my trap muscles more to the right and also have pain in my mid-back area near the shoulder blade on the right side. I initially had pain that went down both arms but that was helped with the epidural two months after my disc injury. My surgery wasn’t untill 2004 because all the MRI’s only showed a bulging disc. The surgery took away my numbness in my fingers and my other arm stopped jumping upward. I’ve done everything else (epidurals, high doses of narcotics, injections, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, & acupuncture) to help manage my severe pain for the last 6 years. I also got diagnosed with RSD/CRPS in March 2008. I don’t have any extremity pain like arm pain anymore except in my traps going down my back near the shoulder blade. I’m having doubts that this will work for me since I heard somewhere on the net that it usually works in people who have extremity pain not just back or neck pain.

Has anyone had success with this and did they have extremity pain or not?

Thank you so far for the responses. I did email the first responder. To the second one, wow I’m glad it has helped you but sad to hear you are still on meds. Maybe you don’t take as much though? Anyway I’ll see how it goes next week. I’m hopeful this will work. The Norco for me didn’t touch my pain and the morphine I’m on now manages my pain even though I still have some pain. At least I’m not in bed all the time but I don’t want to stay on the morphine as it has side effects. Thanks so much so far. I will be checking for more responses or they can email me directly through this site if they want.

Can anyone recommend a good chiropractor in the Orlando or Kissimmee area?

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

I am looking for one that also works on your soft tissue by giving a decent massage before your therapy? I used to have a chiropractor in NJ who gave me a 10-15 minute massage before she started her chiropratic treatment. The massage helps loosen up your soft tissue and muscles and enables you to better take the chiropratic maneuvers. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Is it better to work out before or after a chiropractor adjustment?

Monday, August 9th, 2010

I’ve been visiting the chiropractor 1-2 times a week just to keep my neck and back pain in check. I also like to work out including running, ab exercises, etc. I was planning on going to the gym before my adjustment and then just thought it might be better to do it the other way around because I know that the muscles in your neck have to heal after an adjustment. So- would it be better to work out after my neck’s been adjusted? Thanks for the knowledgable answers.
